Madushan and Himaya impress at ‘Mora Smashes’ TT

Madushan Suriyabandara of Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala and Himaya Devindi from Karandeniya Central College, Karandeniya were the cynosure at the ‘Mora Shashes’ 2015 All Island Intermediate/Novices Men’s and Women’s/Age Group Boys’ and Girls’ Table Tennis championships concluded at the Moratuwa University Indoor Stadium last week.

Madushan proved his prowess at the games by winning Boys Under 15, 18 and Novices Men’s Singles to crown as the Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament in the Men’s category while Himaya Devindi was adjudged the Most Outstanding Player in the Women’s section for her victories in the Women’s Novices and Intermediate Women’s Singles events and finishing runner-up in the Girls Under 15 and Under 18 battles.
