Umayanga hits unbeaten 107 to prop Panadura
Kurunegala Youth CC left-arm spinner Duminda Dasanayake became an obstacle for Air Force SC batsmen as the latter were struggling 56 runs behind with two wickets at hand in the SLC Emerging Trophy Cricket Tournament match at the Air Force ground in Katunayake yesterday.

Batting first Kurunegala Youth CC were dismissed for 159 with Harsha Prabath top scoring for them with an unbeaten 45. Lahiru Sri Lakmal and Lasanda Rukmal shared six wickets between them.
Despite a fighting knock of 43 not out from Udayawansa Parakrama, Dasanayake came on top claiming four wickets to keep the Airmen at bay. The hosts were 103 for the loss of 8 wickets at tea.
Skipper Sudesh Umayanga hit a century (107 n.o.) as he took Panadura SC to 230-6 at tea in their match against BRC at the BRC ground.
Left-handed Umayanga remained unbeaten on 107 at the time of tea break as he helped Panadura SC add 183 runs yesterday, after resuming from their overnight score of 47-3. Umayanga faced 198 deliveries and hit nine boundaries and four sixes during his knock.
At Panadura Esplanade Navy SC were bowled out for 294 runs at the time of tea by Kalutara PCC. Lahiru Silva and Buddhika Hasaranga made identical knocks of 84 while Anushka Deemantha took three wickets.
The matches between Moratuwa SC and Police SC at Moratuwa and Lankan CC and Kalutara TC at Bloomfield ground were called off for the second day due to wet ground conditions caused by rain. – NA
