Up close and personal with the paranormal
View(s):Bernie Hay launched her book of paranormal experiences titled ‘The Mysterious, The Mystical and the Unexplained’ on December 10 at the National Library and Documentation Services Board. The book documents the paranormal experiences of the author and her family, with two additional stories which have been related to her firsthand.
The Chief Guest at the event, M.D.D. Pieris, related his experiences with the author at the University of Peradeniya then known as the University of Ceylon. Mr. Pieris is also credited with encouraging Ms. Hay to write and she believes that without him there would be no book.
In her address, Ms. Hay said she felt that although the book attempts to relate the paranormal experiences experienced by her and those around her, she felt that they could never be explained to someone who has not had a similar experience.
