‘Party’ celebrates diamond jubilee
A Sinhala adaptation of British playwright Ray Cooney’s ‘Funny Money’ directed by Dharmapriya Dias as ‘Saadaya Maarai Salli Hamarai’ will have its 75th show at 7 pm on January 9 at Lionel Wendt Theatre Colombo.
At 2015 State Drama Festival this play won the awards for Best Actor , Best Actress and Best Stage management. The cast includes Gihan Fernando , Jayani Senanayake , Giriraj Kaushalya , Anuradha Perera , Dayadewa Edirisinghe, Dharmapriya Dias , Aloka Sampath and Anuradha Mallawaarachchi.
The adaptation is done by Saman Pushpa Liyanage , stage lightings Ranga Samarakone, set designing, Wasantha Ratnayake, stage management by Aruna Jayasena, costume designing – Gihan Fernando, make up- Prem Jayantha Kapuge, music – Ruwan Walpola and line production is by Ranga Samarakoon.
The play is produced by Priyankara De Silva.
