Bio Extracts, makers of “BARAKA” wins 2 Presidential Export Awards
View(s):Bio Extracts Pvt Ltd won two awards at the recently held Presidential Export awards under the Ayurveda and Health/ Personal Care Products Sector. Bio Extracts is a subsidiary of Aberdeen Holdings which is a leading diversified conglomerate in Sri Lanka. In a media release, the company said it was established in 1994 and has developed the Baraka brand that now has a global presence in over 20 countries and 50 cities spanning over Europe, Russia, Middle East and Asia. Locally Baraka products are stocked at all leading supermarkets, 2000 pharmacies and 300 Ayurveda outlets island-wide. The company is housed in a 40,000 sq. ft. facility equipped with state of the art machinery, a fully equipped modern laboratory and a dedicated R & D division. Bio Extracts (Pvt) Ltd. was the pioneer of Soft Gelatin encapsulation in Sri Lanka.
