The world’s largest provider of flexible workspaces, Regus, plans to introduce a new way to work, entrepreneurs in urban and remote areas by the setting up of high quality business focused locations countrywide. With the development of infrastructure facilities and restoration of political and economic stability as well as high internet penetration, Sri Lanka is poised to attract many foreign investors and it could expect high growth in remote working in the years to come, John Wright, Chief Executive Officer – Regus Asia Pacific revealed in an interview with the Business Times this week.
He said that he is highly impressed on Sri Lanka’s development at present under the new government which will pave the way for new innovations in the business field. To meet the needs of remote workers, Regus will set out to offer its business services by setting up small hubs in remote areas as well while catering to the needs of urban workers at their workspaces in Colombo and suburbs designed to keep up with the needs of modern work, which include more interaction, collaboration and spontaneity. The aim of Regus is to provide high quality, business focused locations where they can drop-in for either a few minutes or a few hours and stay productive while on the go, he added.
