Pan Asia Bank official gets Gold Medal at banking exam

Mariam Shazrina Ukkas Thassim
Mariam Shazrina Ukkas Thassim was recently awarded a Gold Medal for the subject “International Trade and Finance” for her performance at the Diploma in Applied Banking and Finance (DABF) examinations in 2015. Ms. Mariam Thassim completed the DABF examinations inclusive of the relevant subject with a distinction and with the highest marks at the first sitting. All subjects were completed by her at the first sitting, she told the Business Times.
After successfully completing her advanced levels she got the opportunity to undergo her higher studies and today Ms. Mariam Thassim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Sri Jayawardanepura. Further she also holds the Diploma in Applied Banking and Finance from the Institute of Bankers Sri Lanka (DABF). She works in the capacity of Assistant Manager in Pan Asia Banking Corporation and is very much involved in Retail and SME credit. Currently she is reading for her Masters degree in Business Management (MBM) at the University of Colombo.
