People’s Bank publishes memoirs of late Chairman, W. Karunajeewa
View(s):The People’s Bank recently released the memoirs of the late W. Karunajeewa, former Chairman of People’s Bank and People Leasing and Finance PLC titled Janajeewa Karunajeewa, which was written by Bandara Eheliyagoda. The book outlined his various achievements in both his professional life and his impactful work as a humanitarian. Janajeewa Karunajeewa was published by People’s Bank and launched at a ceremony presided over by President Maithripala Sirisena at the BMICH, the bank said in a media release.
The occasion was graced by the Chief Incumbent of the Ruwanveli Maha Seya, Ven. Pallegama Hemarathana Thero, Ven Dr. Kirinde Assaji Thero, Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine – Rajitha Senarathna, Hon. Minister of Justice – Wijeyadasa Rajapakse, Deputy Minister of Megapolis and Western Development – Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Hemasiri Fernando – Chairman, People’s Bank and People’s Leasing and Finance PLC, N. Vasantha Kumar – Chief Executive Officer/General Manager, People’s Bank, D. P. Kumarage -Chief Executive Officer/General Manager, People’s Leasing and Finance PLC and the corporate and executive management of People’s Bank along with the family of the late W. Karunajeewa.
