Kanishka slams career best knock of 217
Saracens SC batsman Kansihka Amarasinghe slammed a career best knock of 217 against Bloomfield on day two in the Premier Plate Championship encounter played at the FTZ ground in Katunayake.
Kanishka’s marathon knock came off 378 balls that included 26 boundaries and two sixes. He was involved in two valuable partnerships first of 254 runs for the second wicket with Sangeeth Cooray and the other of 113 runs for the third wicket with skipper Harsha Cooray, helping Saracens SC resuming from their overnight score of 259 for 1, to make 492 for 9 declared. Bloomfield ended the day on 54 for 1.
Half tons by Ashen Silva, Bhanuka Rajapakse and Vidura Adikari helped Chilaw Marians resuming on their overnight score of 214 for 3 to end their innings on 306 against Army SC who were 120 for no loss in the match played at CCC ground.
SLPA CC has already taken a first innings lead over Badureliya SC when play stopped for lunch on day two in another match of the same tournament played at Panagoda.
