Prime Minister of New Zealand visits Royal Colombo Golf Club
View(s):During his extended stay in Colombo John Key, the Prime Minister of New Zealand visited Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) and was welcomed by Fredrick Jehan De Saram (President of RCGC), Ranil Pieris (Captain of RCGC), Primal Wijayanayake (Vice Captain of RCGC), Lasantha de Silva (GM of RCGC), committee, members and the management of RCGC.
The New Zealand Premier teed off on a breezy Friday afternoon which was ideal weather for a round of golf. Key, an avid golfer was accompanied by the Captain of RCGC, Ranil Pieris who played alongside him. Founded over 130 years ago, the Royal Colombo Golf Club takes pride in being the second oldest Royal Golf Club outside the United Kingdom.
