With one of the worst ever droughts posing the threat of daily power cuts, the Ceylon Electricity Board’s Welfare Association’s Ratnapura branch members held a Aloka pooja at the Saman Devalaya in Ratnapura. With CEB engineers and other experts finding that the crisis is beyond their control, they have now turned to Saman deity to plead for rain.
