Walker Sons & Company Engineers completes work on two water purification projects
View(s):Walker Sons & Company Engineers, a subsidiary of MTD Walkers PLC recently completed the electro-mechanical works for the Water Purification Projects at Kolonna and Balangoda. The scope of work carried out by the company included installing a state- of-the-art fully automated water purification and pumping system, and thereafter connecting it to the national water distribution system.
“This project will give the residents of Kolonna and Balangoda areas access to clean drinking water, fulfilling one of the long standing issues faced by them and improving their overall quality of life,” said Lal Perera, CEO of Walker Sons & Company Engineer (Pvt) Ltd, in a media release issued by the company. Undertaken in partnership with CFE, a Belgian multinational active in multiple engineering fields including construction, dredging, marine engineering and environmental engineering, this project was funded by the Government of Belgium, under the National Water Supply and Drainage Board’s scheme to supply the nation with sustainable water solutions.
