Manhattan Fish Market offers new menu for Lankan palate
Popular food chain, the Manhattan Fish Market has created a brand new menu called the 5th gen menu, expanded to suit the preferences of Sri Lankan diners.
The spread is designed to satisfy the palate of a Sri Lankan seafood lover, said Managing Director of the Manhattan Fish Market, Shafraz Anees. “We are extremely excited to launch this menu which is sure to please our dinners with the mouthwatering dishes on offer. We are always looking to offer innovation and variety in our menu so that our guests can enjoy a unique dining experience.”
Here are some of their tempting new additions that were presented at a recent news briefing:
Curry Hill Seafood, served with battered veggie sticks and slices of crispy baguette cooked with different spices, was inspired by Murray hill in Manhattan known as ‘curry hill’ because the area was famed for its Indian cuisine.
The Pepper Mayo Salmon Burger is a salmon fillet poached in their in-house made stock topped with a sunny side up with pepper mayo.
If you can’t decide whether you should order fish or chicken, the Fishy Chicky Bang Bang is the dish to pick. Hand battered crispy fillets, one a dory fillet and the other a chicken fillet with cheddar cheese sandwiched in between, is served with a sunny side up on a bed of fried spaghetti with house salad and chips.
Volcano Island, a sharing platter gives the diners the option of having scallops, poached spicy dory nuggets, volcano mussels and slices of crispy baguette on a bed of garlic herb rice.
The new addition to the dessert section is the traditional favourite Sizzling Banana Fritters with Ice cream – chocolate ice cream on top of banana fritter boats in a sizzling hot plate on rich coconut cream.
The new menu is available for diners at their Manhattan Fish Market Rajagiriya and Deal Place outlets, open from 12 noon to 11 p.m. from Monday to Thursday and 12 noon to 12 a.m. from Friday to Sunday.
