Vidushika wins Boxing title

Vidushika Prabhadi, a lightweight women’s pugilist, brought honour to Sri Lanka by winning the silver medal at the 14th Montana Boxing Championship held in Paris from April 13 to 17.  According to local boxing experts this was the first time that a Sri Lankan pugilist has emerged victorious, despite appearing in this competition for the past three years. Vidushika was a silver medalist at the last SAF Games held in Nepal in February. She is a member of Slimline Sports Club. The Montana Boxing Championship is a popular, and contestants from countries like Germany, Italy, France, Brazil and Cyprus.
