George Gregan, Australia’s highest internationally capped and a much celebrated player stated that he is impressed with Sri Lankans’ love for Rugby.

During the media conference at the HSBC head office last Friday, Gregan stated, he had “never come across anything like the Bradby Fiesta, although he had watched higher rugby entertainment shows during his career”.

” I have watched many high rugby entertainment shows and to my mind the best was in South Africa, a rugby crazed nation. But I rate the Bradby Fiesta is something special. I am really impressed and consider it stands way ahead of the rest.

Last Friday he held a coaching master class partnered by HSBC and Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU) for all captains and scrum halves of ‘A’ division rugby schools in the country at the CR and FC.

“I am really impressed by the talent and enthusiasm shown when it comes to rugby football in Sri Lanka”.

Gregan was the 64th player inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame in 2013. On his day, he was one of the best half backs in the position. And with a height of 5’8″ body frame, he has side stepped and gone pass many a giant in the international rugby arena.

Gregan,was in Sri Lanka on a two day visit as the HSBC’s rugby ambassador.  The former Wallaby skipper, will also be involved with the HSBC rugby zone that was held at the Bradby Fiesta yesterday.
