Success for Sri Lankan siblings at SATAC
View(s):Sri Lankans Minuri Wijesekera and her brother Sankalpa Wijesekera achieved commendable success at the Saudi Arabian Toastmasters Annual Conference (SATAC) held from April 21-23.
Minuri, 22 was placed third in the English Humorous Speech contest in SATAC 2016 in Dammam Saudi Arabia at Sheraton Hotel. She was the only Sri Lankan at the Senior Final Stage of this contest in any category.
To reach the finals, the contestants have to win at Club Level, Area Level, Division Level and the Semi- Final level.
She is a commerce graduate and accomplished singer.
Her brotherSankalpa Wijesekara (24), a computer science engineerreached semi final stage in the same category ( English Humorous speech) after winning the Division stage. He also was placed 2nd at the International speechcategory at the Division Level.
