Nominations called for 7-week Eisenhower US Fellowships 2017
View(s):Sri Lanka is among 20-25 countries chosen to select nominees for next year’s prestigious Eisenhower Fellowships where successful candidates under the Multi-Nation Program (MNP) are provided an intensive seven-week fellowship experience. The Eisenhower Fellowships Association of Sri Lanka said in a media notice that it has been requested to shortlist two nominees from Sri Lanka, one of whom will be awarded the opportunity of attending (along with their spouse/partner) the 2017 MNP Program, commencing on 2nd April 2017.
Eisenhower Fellowships seeks a diverse mix of applicants, ages 32-45, from a wide range of professional sectors. It provides a unique leadership development opportunity for individuals who have a demonstrated track record of significant professional and community achievements and who seek to tackle big challenges in the future. The Sri Lanka association has requested applications or nominations for this prestigious, individually designed and unique programme. The closing date fixed for nominating applications for this fellowship is Wednesday, 25th May 2016 and applications should be forwarded online by accessing https://efworld.org/our-programs/2017-multi-nation-programme.
The short listed candidates will be interviewed by the Sri Lanka Nominations Committee during the month of June 2016 and the process will be completed in Sri Lanka by 1st July 2016. The nominees preferred areas of interest are: Urban Development; Investigative Skills (journalism, forensic skills, police investigation); Maritime Security; Transitional Justice; Power and Energy; Education; Environmental Sustainability and Protection; Agriculture; Tourism and Digital Economy, and Nanotechnology.
