CMA-CGM Containers make a memorable entrance
View(s):The MCA ‘F’ division 25-Over League Tournament 2016 with the participation of 36 teams in six groups got off to a start last week-end.
Debutantes, CMA-CGM Containers made a memorable entrance into Mercantile Cricket when they scored a thrilling two wickets win over Asia Capital. Opening weekends top team score was by Union Bank 201/7 in 25 overs against Brandix Essentials ‘B’, the lowest came from MAC Holdings 77 all out in 16.5 overs against MAS Active ‘C’.
The top individual scorer was Sameera Fernando from Interpharm (82 not out in 74 balls inclusive of two sixes and eight fours Vs.Hiradaramani) and the best bowling from Chameera Dilshan from MAS Active ‘C’ (6 for 15 in five overs including a maiden Vs. MAC Holdings). The tournament will be continued this weekend with a card of 20 matches.
