Google Street View Trusted gives inside look into businesses
View(s):Local businesses can now reach their customers through virtual tours on the Internet with the launch of Google Street View Trusted, a platform giving interactive 360 degree views of hotels, restaurants, shops, retail spaces, schools and offices.
Award winning Google Trusted photographer Felix Steck was in Sri Lanka this week, photographing several hotels such as Cinnamon Grand, Cinnamon Lakeside, Cinnamon Wild and Cinnamon Bey in addition to corporate establishments such as Millenium IT. At a media briefing, Mr. Steck described Google Street View Trusted as user friendly and the perfect tool to show interiors.
Mr. Steck added that for an experienced photographer, the completion of photography of a midsize business which includes around 15 panoramic views will take about an hour and a half and will be online within two working days. He said the platform enables clients to make the right choice in choosing a business, hotel or restaurant to frequent. Google Street View Trusted is linked to several other Google platforms such as Google My Business Profile and Google Maps, allowing businesses to improve their listing on the Google search engine and ensure greater visibility on Google Maps.
Mr. Steck was in Sri Lanka, representing Avant Premiere, the authorized service provider for Google Street View and Google Street View Trusted in the country. He also shared his expertise with the photographers at Avant Premiere and trained them on the job at every location across the country. Mr. Steck has over 25 years of experience in photography. He has worked closely with the Kempinski Hotel Group which operates 75 five-star hotels in 30 countries and is a founding member of the Global Hotel Alliance.
