Sri Lanka’s current under-18 Scrabble Champion, Aabid Ismail of Royal College, Colombo became the Under-15 Champion at the Astar Scrabble Challenge International 2015/16 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 16-17 April 2016. More than 400 players competed in this tournament in which they competed in Under-12, Under-15, Under-18 and Open categories. Aabid became the champion in the Under-15 category by winning all games.
Age Group Scrabble Championship 2016
Sri Lanka Scrabble League (SLSL) which is a non-profit organisation established in 1989 is holding the Annual Age Group Scrabble Championship for Juniors and Sub-Juniors (i.e. for all children under the age of 18) for the 27th time at the Auditorium of the Lyceum International School – Wattala on 18th June 2016.
The tournament will consist of 6 games. Registration will commence at 7.15 a.m. with the first game commencing at 8.30 a.m. The entry fee is Rs 1,000.
