POOR RESULTS, HIGH EXPENSES

There is this story for a popular sport team which went to Korea recently to take part in a competition. The association concerned had doled out Rs. Two Million for the tour and participants amounting to 18 too had been asked to cough up SLR 10,000 each. The 18 member playing squad was accompanied by no less than nine officials. The results were won two and lost three. Is there any worth in sending teams for such contests with poor results and such high expenses?
“HITLER” AT WORK
There is this popular sports body who are secretly calling their Boss “Hitler”. He takes it in his stride to hire people and sack them at will! This has a cast a pall of doom on the other employees. Who wants to work for this Hitler not knowing what the future awaits them. Also there is the news that some key personnel in the sport are planning to quit their posts because of this.
TURNING PURPLE
A big tamasha was planned in Old Blighty to raise funds for those affected by Kidney Diseases and those who had suffered due to the recent floods. The tickets for this project was Pounds 200 per person. A sum of SLR 40 Million was expected but the turnout was very poor and the organisers had to turn purple when the final amount was collected!
HAVE MONEY, WILL TRAVEL
There is this move to encourage sports fans to witness action in Old Blighty. But the monies are being spent by the sports body that is concerned as the others are unable to raise funds for air-travel, hotel accommodation and internal travelling in that country.
LIVING UNDER A CLOUD
There is this story about two interdicted officials of a certain sports body sending a Letter of Demand. These two officials maybe called back to work, but this has not deterred the interdicted officials from sending this Letter of Demand as they have been repeatedly interdicted as well and has been living under a cloud.

Most bosses frown when husbands and wives are employed. This leading sports body already has a husband and wife combination working for them. Now there is the news that is trickling another husband and wife combination is to join the body! Will this augur well for the sport?
