Blend of beats and feast at gala swing quartet in Galle

French jazz band the Gala Swing Quartet, will be seen in concert at the Jetwing Lighthouse Club, Galle in collaboration with Alliance Française, Colombo. The musical evening on June 21 from 7.30 p.m onwards is in commemoration of International Music Day. The evening will see a blend of beats and cocktails served followed by a special four course dinner prepared by Chef Nihal, the maestro in French cuisine himself.
The Gala Swing Quartet play their compositions inspired by the great names of Jazz: a bit of Dr. Dre, a touch of funk, a touch of groove, and the classics of Django Reinhardt. They will delight the audiences with entertaining gypsy rhythms, performing jazz manouche songs and instrumental plays inspired by Balkan music.
Tickets will be priced at Rs. 12,500 inclusive of a spread of cocktails and a delectable four course dinner with free flow of a range of wines to suit the mood.
