Mercantile Shuttlers reach final stage

The ADD Ex Group/Li-Ling sponsored 6th Mercantile Firm Team Doubles Badminton Championship 2016 reached its final stages yesterday at the Mercantile Services Badminton Association Stadium Headquarters courts yesterday, A total of 693 players including 22 national players constituting 63 teams from 47 establishments competed for supremacy in Grans Slam, Cup, Plate, Bowl and Novices segments.
In this highly competitive tournament MAS Holding ‘A’ meet McLarens Holding ‘A’ in the Final of the Grand Slam while Seylan Bank ‘A’ play McLarens Holding ‘B’ in the Cup final and MAS Holding ‘B’ John Keells ‘A’, IFS and Millennium IT, along with MAS Holding ‘C’ and People’s Leasing will play today at the same venue in the Plate, Bowl and Novices finals respectively to bring down the curtain of the 6th edition of the championship. MAS Holding shuttlers dominated the championship as they qualified to play in three out of the five finals.
