Carmart receives the ISO 9001:2008 certification

Carmart (Pvt) Ltd, authorised importer for Peugeot and Mazda in Sri Lanka, has been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certification for quality standards of its operations. The company decided to obtain ISO 9001 certification, not because of industry or client requirements but because it believes in the systems approach to management, Yasendra Amerasinghe Director/ CEO Carmart told a media conference in Colombo on Monday June 27. With the implementation of the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system, the entire company is now geared to providing better services to its customers whilst building stronger bonds and creating a more open culture for customer interactions and improved customer satisfaction, he added.
Mr. Amerasinghe noted that continuing an over 60-year partnership with French automaker Peugeot, Carmart (Pvt) Ltd has introduced a new addition to its range with the RCZ, which got a facelift, and 508 models to Sri Lanka. With this development the RCZ has a redesigned front end with blackened headlights, a revised grille and LED daytime running lights. Packed with performance-enhancing features, the RCZ looks the part with its trademark ‘double-bubble’ roof.
