Beauty queen Stephanie Siriwardena, Unilever brand ambassador Pooja Umashankar, designers Amanda, Indi and Colombo Fashion Week founder Ajai Vir Singh were the celebrity presenters at the launch of Vaseline ‘Summer Glow’ Healthy White on June 30 at Stables, Park Street Mews.
After a short skit – a conversation between two best friends about sunburn on their vacation, later using Vaseline healthy white as their solution, the evening continued with insights into fashion from Ajai Vir Singh and a mini fashion show highlighting the top four travel destinations in the world for 2016: Palau, Istanbul, Cambodia and Botswana.
Later on invitees were to take a selfie in front of their favourite destination displays put up for the event.
There was also an interactive team fashion challenge that grouped the invitees according to the colour band given to them at the entrance. A mystery bag was placed on the ramp that consisted of the items to design an outfit and the judges Ajai Vir Singh, Indi, Ramani Fernando and Sonali selected the best design.
“Caring for your skin is important, especially when it comes to women. Healthy and even-toned skin plays a pivotal role when it comes to a woman’s appearance and appearance is something that helps women with their general self esteem and confidence. We all know that a confident woman is a beautiful woman,” said Marketing Director Personal Care for Unilever Sri Lanka, Sharmila Bandara.
Celebrating even-toned skin as the newest trend, ‘Summer Glow’ showcased how having even-toned skin complement the latest fashion trends. Throughout the event invitees were reminded of the importance of skin care and the solution that Vaseline Healthy White offers.
