The latest in the ‘Star Trek’ series, ‘Star Trek Beyond’, a story around a USS Enterprise crew who explore the furthest reaches of uncharted space, where they encounter a new ruthless enemy who puts them and everything the Federation stands for to the test, is now being screened at Liberty Lite Kollupitiya, Vista Lite Jaela and Sky Lite Malabe.Directed by Justin Lin based on the series Star Trek, created by Gene Roddenberry. The 13th film in the Star Trek film franchise, the film followed Star Trek in 2009 and Star Trek Into Darkness in 2013. Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto reprise their roles as Captain James T. Kirk and Commander Spock, with Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, and Anton Yelchin reprising their roles from the previous films.
The first leg of the USS Enterprise’s five year mission takes them into uncharted territory. There the Enterprise is nearly destroyed and strands Kirk and his crew on a remote planet with no means of communication. Kirk must then work with the elements to reunite his crew and get back to Earth.
