Ahan steers Royal with unbeaten ton
Sri Lanka national cap Ahan Sanchitha cracked an unbeaten 105 in 137 balls that included 17 boundaries and helped Royal Colombo record a comfortable first inning win over Dharmaraja at Reid Avenue. Sanchitha was also involved in a 94 run stand for the third wicket with Isiwara Dissanayake who made 32. Dharmaraja were all out for a low score of 141 in their batting turn.
Chamod Dhananjaya’s contribution of 107 enabled De Mazenod Kandana to record an easy first inning win against Lumbini MV in the second round match played at Kandana. The low scoring second round match between Trinity and St. Benedict’s played at Kotahena ended in a first inning win for Trinity while Prince of Wales and Richmond prevailed against Holy Cross College Kalutara and St. Xavier’s Marawila in their matches at Moratuwa and Karandeniya.
