SSC maintained their unbeaten record when they recorded their fifth successive win by defeating Galle CC by 18 runs in the Under 23 Twenty20 cricket encounter played at the SSC ground.

SSC taking first lease of the wicket made 119 for 9 and then restricted their opponents to a score of 101.

Thikshila de Silva cracked a quick fire 62 in just 29 balls inclusive of seven boundaries and three sixes and also associated in a valuable partnership of 76 runs for the second wicket with Lakkana Jayasekera helping Chilaw Marians CC to record an easy 62 runs win over Kalutara TC in the match played at FTZ ground in Katunayake.

Army SC pulled off a comfortable 51 run win over Ragama CC in their match played at the CCC ground. Army SC batting first made a modest score of 118 and then bundled out Ragama CC for a meager 67 runs.

An unbeaten 75 in 55 balls which included half a dozen boundaries and three sixes by Lisula Lakshan paved the way for BRC to record a convincing seven wicket win over Air Force SC in the match played at P. Sara Stadium.

Air Force SC taking first lease of the wicket made a score of 115 and BRC in pursuit of their 116 runs target was helped by Lisula who along with Helakamal Nanayakkara put on an unbroken 51 runs stand for the fourth wicket enabling them to reach the target in the 16th over.

In the other three matches that were played in the morning session saw Bloomfield, Negombo CC and Lankan CC coming out winners.

Bloomfield overcame Tamil Union by 36 runs at Reid Avenue while Negombo CC got the better of Old Thurstanites SC by 44 runs at Braybrooke Place and Lankan CC pulled off a close ten runs win over Rio SC Ambalangoda in the match played at the SSC ground.

Meanwhile Badureliya CC along with Saracens SC, Police SC, SLPA CC and Navy SC won their matches played in the evening session against Customs SC, Moors SC, Centralized SC, Kurunegala YCC and Panadura  SC.
