A train bound to Kankasanturai from Colombo derailed last evening near Parasangahawewa, area at Anuradahapura, a Railway spokesman said. A train bound to Kankasanturai from Colombo derailed last evening near Parasangahawewa, area at Anuradahapura, a Railway spokesman said.

An official of the Anuradhapura Railway Control Office said two wheels of the last compartment went off the track.

Noone was injured in the incident and passengers were transferred to other trains.Repairs were expected to be carried out last night.
