‘Wassanaye Sanda’ blooms

Muhurath ceremony for Udayakantha Warnasuriya’s latest film ‘Wassanaye Sanda’ was held recently.
A family film is to be played by Anup Ranasinghe, Suweenitha Weerasinghe, Anula Karunathilake, Ravindra Randeniya and Sreenath Maddumage. In this film Piyumi Hansamalee, Anjelo Sanjeew and Oshadhi Himasha are to make their debut roles in cinema.
In the production department Ayeshmanth Hettiarachchi is to handle camera, Praveen Jayaratne editing and sound recording and music direction is by Rohana Weerasinghe. Art director is Aruna Dias, and make up is by Indika Udaralanka and production executive of “Wassanaye Sanda” is Ashoka Ariyaratne.
Prof. Sunil Ariyaratne, Sunil Wimalaweera and Kularatne Ariyawanse has penned the playback songs which are to be sung by Sunil Edirisinghe, Uresha Ravihari, Amal Perera, Abhiskeka Wimalaweera, Dumal Warnakulasuriya and Deshani Vithanage.
Co-produced by H. D. Premasiri, Mahesh Bandara and Udayakantha himself, some of the scenes of this film is to be shot in location in Australia.
