Shivantha Vivekanandan uncontested Deaf School PPA President for 15th successive year

Shivantha Vivekanandan was uncontested as President for the 15th successive year, at the 67th Annual General Meeting of the Deaf School Past Pupils’ Association, the School for the Deaf, Ratmalana, held recently at the school hall. He is a distinguished past pupil from the School for the Deaf, Ratmalana, and Maryline High School, Kollupitiya, where he won many awards in Sports, art and Studies. During his tenure as President, he stood out as the most intelligent leader of the Deaf Community in Sri Lanka. He is also President of the Sri Lanka Deaf Cricket Association for 8 years, only authorised association where Deaf Cricketers play leather ball Cricket, and is a consultant to the Sri Lanka Deaf Cricket Association. Currently, he is also Senior Vice President, Asia Deaf Cricket Council and a committee member of the Deaf International Cricket Council. He toured India, Pakistan and Dubai to promote leather ball Cricket for Deaf Cricketers. He is also a member of the Sri Lanka Central Federation of the Deaf and Institute of Draughting Technologists Sri Lanka.
