Give2Lanka hands over first major donation
View(s):Give2Lanka (Gte) handed over its first major donation, a cheque for Rs. 1.5 Million to Berendina at a function held at Colombo Golf Club recently with Vice President of GiveIndia Vikas Puthran as the Chief Guest.

This donation will enable Berendina to increase its scholarship programme (for education/ career counselling/higher education/employment linkages) to 2, 250 deserving children.
Give2Lanka has also made a few contributions to helping Sasanka, the Royal College student who has been in a coma for the past three years. Currently, Give2Lanka covers more than nine worthy causes.
Give2Lanka runs a crowd funding platform to provide a lifeline for deserving causes addressed by trusted local NGOs. Sri Lanka’s recent classification as a middle income country has caused the suspension of over nine key international funding channels including NORAD, SDC, Novib, Helvetas, Dutch Embassy, and DFID.
Give2Lanka is led by Dulan de Silva, former Executive Chairman of the Berendina Group and ably supported by four private sector Company Directors and two development professionals on the board of directors.
