200 Judokas at SLAF Championships
View(s):Over 200 Judokas took part in the championship where the men’s overall championship was bagged by the SLAF Base Katunayake Regiment Wing and SLAF Academy China Bay emerged as the women’s overall champions. This was at the Inter Unit Judo Championship held at Indoor Stadium of the SLAF Base Katunayake. SLAF Base Anuradhapura, SLAF Station Colombo and SLAF TTS Ekala became the joint runners-up in the men’s category and SLAF TTS Ekala became the women’s runner-up at the championship. The Chief of Staff of the SLAF Air Vice Marshal Ranil Gurusinghe graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Members of the Air Force Board of Management, the Chairman SLAF Judo Air Commodore KFR Fernando, Officers and other ranks also witnessed the event. - SP
