London SE group hires 100 high tech workers for Colombo ops
View(s):The London Stock Exchange Group’s Business Services division (LSEG BSL) in Sri Lanka has completed the first stage of its set-up operations, with over 100 tech sector professionals recruited for the group’s new 26,000 sq ft technology centre at Expert City in Maradana. Set up in May 2016, this new LSEG facility will be manned by 400 high-technology professionals once it becomes fully operational by the end of 2016. LSEG’s investment in Sri Lanka will also provide an immediate boost to the IT sector of the country, the company said in a media announcement this week.
“Already scaling up its operations in Sri Lanka in a significant way, LSEG recently completed the first of two large-scale recruitment drives planned for this month at its Incubation Centre at Expert City. Attracting the interest of a significant number of local IT professionals, these recruitment drives are led in Sri Lanka by Symon Hughes, a London-based LSEG recruitment veteran who is supported by a highly dedicated and committed local recruitment team,” it said.
