Hashan steers DIMO to victory

An unbeaten knock of 87 in 98 balls inclusive of eight boundaries and a six by Hashan Dumindu paved the way for DIMO to record an easy seven wicket win over Textured Jersey in the Mercantile Division ‘A’ tournament cricket encounter played at the FTZ ground in Katunayake.
Textured Jersey taking first lease of the wicket made a modest score of 176 with Charith Asalanka making a top score of 75.
DIMO in their run chase helped by Dumindu’s knock eased to the target in just 32.4 overs.
Lahiru double guide Commercial Credit
Two Lahirus — Madusanka and Gamage shared nine wickets between them and laid the foundation for Commercial Credit romp home to a convincing eight win over MAS Active in another match of the same tournament played at the Surrey Village ground in Maggona.
MAS Active batting first was ruined by the two pacies who together combined to bundle them out for a meager 97 runs and Commercial Credit in their turn thanks to Dilhan Cooray and Ashan Priyanjan raced to the target in the 20th over.
