Vidyaratana University College Horana emerged champion of 99th All Island Schools Stubbs Shield Boxing Championship which ended at the Royal Arena boxing ring in Reid Avenue. The champion Vidyaratana team secured four gold medals as they piped Vidyartha Kandy who won three gold medals to the second spot while Gamini Central Ingiriya took the third slot with two gold medals and three silver medals. Meanwhile K.V.I. Eranga of Gamini Central Ingiriya was adjudged the best boxer of the meet and U.M.B. Neranjan of Royal Colombo took the best losers award. – MSA
