The Jaffna Municipal Council earned Rs. 19.2 million with a net profit of Rs. 11.7 million during the popular Nallur temple festival which ended on September 6. The revenue, up by 29.45 per cent from last year, was enhanced by the presence of a large number of devotees including expatriate Tamils. Many tourists also visited the festival.
