Flights had been booked, travel plans made and tickets had sold out three months before the event as old girls flew in from different countries for this much-anticipated joyous reunion. When a school celebrates its 150th anniversary, it calls for special celebrations and the Old Girls’ Association of Methodist College, Kollupitiya hosted the MC dance ‘Triple Gold’ at Cinnamon Grand on September 17 in grand style, rekindling the friendship and fellowship they had shared during their schooldays.

Principal Hiranya Fernando welcomed the guests while a distinguished old girl Dawn Austin proposed the toast. Dinner, much dancing till the wee hours with swinging sounds by  Magic Box Mixup and DJ Kosala and a guest appearance by a Pappare band kept the party going. A sumptuous breakfast rounded off a memorable night for the MC girls.

All proceeds from the dance will go towards the school’s 150th anniversary building.
