The Young Zoologists’ Association of Sri Lanka’s annual art and photography exhibition ‘Kin Wild & Young Eye on Nature 2016’ which will this year showcase over 200 paintings and photographs by the young talents of YZA including their  junior members is on next weekend.

Entrance is free for the exhibition which is open to the public from October 14 -16 at the J. D. A. Perera Gallery, Colombo 7 from 10 a.m to 6 p.m.

The Young Zoologists’ Association, also popularly known as YZA is an organisation of young individuals keen on conservation through education. Their members are mainly students and undergraduates, young professionals and nature lovers under the age of 35.

‘Protect Nature’ is their motto and based at the National Zoological Gardens, Dehiwala, they make the most of the opportunity to learn about animals. YZA is run by young volunteers who conduct educational programmes with field visits, workshops, exhibitions and seminars on various spheres related to conservation.
