Tame draw at Kurunegala
The inter school Under-19 traditional Cricket encounter between St. Anne’s College Kurunegala and St. Benedict’s College Kotahena ended in a tame draw at Kurunegala yesterday. Bens restricted Annites to 171 after making 217 runs in their first innings on day one. Resuming from their overnight score of 17 for no loss, St. Anne’s made 171 thanks to the useful 50 scored by skipper Vanitha Wanninayake. Mahesh Theekshana (5/52) and Kaveesha Jayatilleke (4/42) shared 9 wickets between them for St Benedict’s .
