Star studded panel of judges at Miss Intercontinental 2016

The Dulux Ambiance Miss Intercontinental 2016 pageant will transform the southern coast of Sri Lanka into a star studded gala this October. The spot light will shine on Sri Lanka with the entourage of beauties from across the world coupled with a high profile and versatile panel of judges flying in for the event held for the 45th consecutive year.
The seven judge panel will consist of former and current title holders in the world of beauty pageants, Grammy nominees together with singers, song writers and renowned specialists in the world of beauty and modelling.
The panel will be headed by CEO for Miss Intercontinental Europe Detlef Tursies. The well-known pageant organiser has produced over a 1,000 pageants during his career spanning 28 years. Tursies organised his first pageant in 1988 and has since become a distinguished figure in the field of international modelling and beauty. Tursies has also hosted the Miss Intercontinental Pageant on numerous occasions in Germany.
Maydelise Columna, Dr. Yasar Sariguel, Valentina Rasulova, Carlos McConnie, Jim Beanz and Apache Indian are the other high profile names that will make up the panel of judges.
Maydelise Columna, came in to the limelight when she won Miss Intercontinental 2010 held in Taino theatre in the Dominican Republic. The former beauty queen now stars in the Mexican series ‘Lying Heart’ and is a renowned host for Televisa Mexico, one of the largest stations in Mexico.
Dr. Yasar Sariguel, Chief Surgeon for the aesthetic beauty clinic Lacomed in Berlin, a widely read author in the field of beauty and surgery will also bring in his expertise to the panel of judges.
Reigning pageant queen, Valentina Rasulova, Miss Intercontinental 2015 will be the next judge on the panel. A makeup artist by profession, Rasulova holds a degree in Finance specializing in fashion designing.

Celebrated television host and actor Carlos McConnie, will also be part of the panel. McConnie is currently hosts for Deutsche Welle’s Euromaxx. The actor cum host has been a part of some of the most successful contemporary entertainment and reality shows for the global Spanish audience. The actor has also tried his hand as an entertainment reporter and correspondent for Univision.com and Televisa’s “Hoy”.
Bringing in the glamour of Hollywood to the panel will be 2016 Grammy Nominee Jim Beanz. Nominated for the Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media, Beanz is a renowned vocal producer, songwriter, musician, singer and record producer working with names such as Timbaland, Nelly Fertado and Beyonce.
British singer/song writer and reggae DJ, Apache Indian, will complete the versatile panel of judges. Winner of the Lifetime Achievement from Brit Asia TV for two consecutive years (2013 and 2014) Indian is celebrated for his distinctive vocal style which brings together elements from Indian, Jamaican and English
cultures.
