All the five directors of Entrust Securities including Chanuka Ratwatte facing misappropriation charges were granted conditional bail by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne on Friday.  The suspects were arrested by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division on September 14, produced before the Magistrate and remanded. The other accused in this case are Dharmapriya Bandara Dassanayake, Romesha Dushanthi Senarath, Sanjeewa Dayaratne and Nirosha Mendis.  They were released on condition that they report to the police station once a month. Their passports were also impounded. The next date of the case is November 25. The first accused, Chanuka Ratwatte was enlarged on bail of Rs. 300,000 cash and three Rs. 2 million personal sureties; second and third accused – Dharmapriya Bandara Dassanaayake and Romesha Dushanthi Senarath were enlarged on bail of Rs 200,000 cash and two Rs. 1.5 million personal sureties and the fourth and fifth accused – Sanjeewa Dayaratne and Nirosha Mendis were released on bail of Rs 100,000 cash and two Rs. 1 million personal sureties. They had been in remand since September 14 over alleged misappropriation of investment funds amounting to Rs.4. 2 billion belonging to the investors.  -(QP)
