‘Soccer Art 2016’

CMB Volunteers together with Alcohol and Drug Information Centre (ADIC – Sri Lanka) presents ‘Soccer Art 2016’ on Thursday 3 rd November 2016 from 1.00 – 9.00 pm at the Racecourse Good Market premises.
Open to the public and free of charge, this is an event that has been created to promote an alcohol and drug free environment among Sri Lanka’s vast youth community. It will feature many fun-filled and exciting activities ranging from an action-packed street soccer tournament to an eye-capturing street art competition.
The Street Football Tournament is open for youth between the ages of 16-29 years. There will be twelve teams with seven members in each team. The Graffiti Art Competition will consist of 10 teams and the number of participants per team will be 1-3 members.
Both competitions have exciting cash prize on offer for the winners and first and second runners-up. The event ends on a high note with a pulsating after-party with DJs in attendance and music for non-stop dancing.
Alcohol and Drug Information Centre (ADIC – Sri Lanka) was established as an independent organisation in 1990 and is today a well-recognised National Resource Centre, promoting drug demand reduction and developing new strategies.
The CMB Volunteer programme is an approach initiated by ADIC to establish a sustainable process to minimise the use of drugs such as alcohol, tobacco and other drugs among the youth in Sri Lanka. CMB volunteers are a group of young individuals who work with a collective mission to change attitudes about such drugs.
