Trinity college Kandy excelled to bag the ‘ Golden star ‘ award for the second consecutive year at the all island schools U/13 boys hockey carnival concluded recently at Mahinda College ground in Galle. They beat D.S. Senanayaka College Colombo 8  3 – 0 and then drew with Tenna Maha Vidyalaya Matale to emerge unbeaten champions in the boys group I fixtures. Thirty four boys teams across the island divided in to eight groups took part in this tournament conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association . The team was coached by Sandun Liyanage.  -LDC
