Ramani: Thanking all who supported her
Ramani Fernando along with Sunsilk celebrated the 40th anniversary of her career as a pioneer hairdresser and unveiled the new hair care range of Sunsilk on November 15 at the Hilton Colombo. It was an evening full of fashion with music and entertainment in good measure.
‘Hairstory’ started off with a bridal show showcasing seven designs ranging from long and short dresses, a combination of pants and dresses. Hair styles were by Ramani Salons and bridal dresses were by Aslam Hussain who has worked often with Ramani.
Models then took the ramp to display hairstyles for men and women done by the Ramani Fernando Salons team. Women’s hairstyles saw long, short, straight, curly, coloured and side shaved styles and the men’s hairstyles were likewise, trimmed in various designs. A ‘Up do’s AvantGarde’ section presented a gothic touch.
A short video presentation gave the audience a glimpse of Ramani Fernando’s journey to success.
Ramani herself was warmly welcomed onto stage by the invitees with a loud round of applause, cheers and a standing ovation.
In her brief address, Ramani thanked each and everyone who has supported her in her career.
As part of the evening Sunsilk introduced their new and improved range of Sunsilk shampoos: Thick and Long – enriched with keratin yoghurt, Soft and Smooth – enriched with 5 natural oils, Perfect Straight – enriched with silk proteins and Damage Restore -– enriched with keratin and calcium.
