Savour the seasonal spirit at Odel’s Promenade

Bright pink and white lights, rose gold and white Christmas decorations and music playing in the background gave that Christmassy feeling at the opening of The Promenade – ODEL and the unveiling of the new clothing line on November 25 at the main ODEL store at Alexandra Place, Colombo 7.
With restaurants, a café and a bistro, eight food and drink outlets, a nail and foot spa, The Promenade is a place to spend some time while shopping. Choose between the Alexandra & Ward fashion-themed café offering Italian cuisine, Nihonbashi with its signature Japanese ; the Sugar Bistro & Bar with its American and Continental menus as well as Bubble Tea, Il Gelato, Roots, Mango Tree, Chariot, Hot Dog/Chop Shop, Sea Food Shack and Magic Corn.
The fashion show unveiling the store’s seasonal offerings gave shoppers plenty to savour. On the theme ‘That Fa la la Feeling’ — the new clothing collection is inspired by international designers such as Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Balmain, Valentino, Chanel and Preen by Thornton Bregazzi and offers casual clothing for both men and women and a selection of glamorous evening wear embellished with pearl work, lace, net, sequins, fur, and Swarovski stone work.
Fridays and Saturdays will see live lounge music playing at the Promenade –which will be open till 11 p.m. daily, even after the store is closed. All ODEL stores will be open for extended shopping hours from December 9, with Alexandra Place staying open till 10 p.m. from the 9th to the 11th, till 11 p.m. from the 16th to the 18th, till 10 p.m. between the 19th and 22nd and till 11 p.m. on the 23rd and 24th of December.
