Anarva – boost for health tourists
Siddhalepa Ayurveda Resorts and Spas will be opening doors on Christmas Day, December 25 to the Anarva hotel in Mt. Lavinia hoping to increase medical tourism into the country.
Siddhalepa Group Managing Director Asoka Hettigoda said that they had made an initial investment of Rs.1.5 billion but had gone beyond Rs.2 billion with price escalations for the construction of the new city hotel.
He explained that the Anarva, Mt. Lavinia would serve the business traveler and that this hotel is combined with the Siddhalepa Hospital as well. The hotel has a capacity of 98 rooms with a roof top infinity pool, coffee shop and restaurant serving an international menu and Ayurvedic meals customized to suit the guest requirements for those obtaining traditional medicinal treatment.
It is considered to be the only city hotel with traditional Ayurveda treatment, as Anarva operates a full scale Ayurveda Centre with Ayurvedic doctors and therapists.
In addition, guests have the advantage of gaining access to the Siddhalepa Ayurveda Hospital for treatment while staying in comfort at the hotel.
