Two unranked TT tourneys in Point Pedro
View(s):It will be an momentous occasion for the town of Point Pedro. The 4th All Island Unranked Table Tennis Championship 2016 will be conducted by the Asian German Sports Exchange for the P.N. Pestonjee Challenge Trophy from December 19 to 21 at the Methodist Girls’ School auditorium tables Point Pedro.
The All Island State Services Table Tennis Championship organised by the State Services Table Tennis Association take place concurrently.
Events that will be worked-off at the All Island Unranked Table Tennis Championship for boys and girls Singles under following age groups:Under 8, 10, 12, 18, 21, 25. Boys and Girls under 25 doubles and the Men’s and Women’s singles events will also be scheduled to take place.
The All Island State Services Table Tennis Championship 2016 will conduct on a knock-out basis and will take place in Team Events and Age Group Categories.
Men’s and Women’s Singles and Doubles will take place under following age groups:
Men’s and Women’s Singles – 20-25 years, 26-30 years, 31-35 years, 36-40 years, 40-45 years, 46-50 years, 51-55 years and 56-60 years.
Men’s and Women’s Doubles – 20-30 years, 31-40 years, 41-50 years, 51-60 years.
Entries for both Championships will be closed today — December 11 and the draw will be held on December 12 at the Central College, Jaffna.
