The All-Island Senior Citizens’ Scrabble Tournament was held recently at the Colombo Hilton. Pictured here are the winners: ( Left to right) – Udeni Mandawela (runner-up in the B Division), Doreen Sappideen ( Winner in the B Division), Farida Akbarally ( Winner –A Division) and Anil Wickremesinghe ( Runner-up in the A Division).

The ‘A Division’ is run according to the tournament rules of WESPA (World English Language Scrabble Players’ Authority) with the latest words from the Collins Official Scrabble Words. The ‘B Division’ competitors play by the Oxford English Dictionary.
