Reckless and dangerous driving on our roads is the realty of day-to-day life. While traffic police undoubtedly have their hands full attempting to keep errant motorists in line, there is concern that authorities aren’t doing enough to provide specific directions to motorists and thus avoid accidents and congestion.

Quite often we witness police standing idly by, watching motorists violate road rules before suddenly pouncing on a motorist who may or may not have violated a specific offence.

Police also seem more keen on levying fines, than removing the cause which leads motorists to violate the rules.

For example, many road signs confuse motorists. Signs are put up directing motorists in a particular direction, while the area motorists are directed to is blocked off by a counter sign.

No one doubts that police have an arduous task, but if authorities devote more time toward giving better directing traffic, congestion on our roads would ease and accidents prevented. This would also make the life of the traffic policemen’s much easier.
